She was past president of San Salvador School PTA, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary Post 6476 in Colton, and Healing Waters Faith in Colton. She represented the Colton PTA chapter in 1958 in the statewide convention in San Francisco. A native of Wyoming, Meadows lived in San Bernardino County 46 years. He was in the auto repair business for 45 years. She was the retired owner and operator of a furniture store. He was a Mormon. Ortiz, a native of Riverside, lived in San Bernardino nearly all his life. He was a laborer a a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Cathi Church. L. BRINGHURST Firefighter, angler Robert LaMar Bringhurst, 49, of Moreno Valley died of a gunshot wound Saturday in Moreno Valley. A native of Pomona, Bringhurst lived in La Verne for 46 years and in Moreno Valley for ree years. He was a firefighter and paramedic for the Los Angeles County Fire Department for 20 years. He was an Army vet- eran.

Bringhurst was an ambassador for fishing all over the United States and caught the world record German Brown trout in 1977 at the Flaming Gorge, Utah. He also was a triathlete and nationally ranked archer. He was a member of the Men's Club at Moreno Valley Ranch. Survivors include his wife, Lois; a son, Robert James of Pedley; a daughter, Amy Dawn of Pedley; mother, Mary Ellen Bringhurst Hicks of A Hickory, N.C.; a brother, Jim of Apple Valley; three sisters, Susie Bringhurst Rabone of Rancho Cucamonga, Julie Bringhurst Wells of Rialto and Judie of Lenoir, N.C. He was a World War II Army veteran and a civil service worker at Norton Air Force Base for 20 years. Hine, a native of Tulsa, lived in San Bernardino County 35 years. She was a beautician for 28 years and a member of Orange Blossom Chapter 488 and Order of Eastern Star in Fontana.

Fisher, a native of Riverside, lived in Loma Linda three years. She was a former resident of Calimesa. She was a 1935 graduate of Loma Linda University Medical School, and she was an anesthesiologist and an internist. She was a member of the Seventhday Adventist Church in Calimesa. She is survived by two sons, David of Redlands, also a doctor, and Newton of Loma Linda; a sister, Vera Hunnicutt of Riverside; and four grandchildren.

Memorial services are 1 p.m. Sunday at Cortner Pierce 221 Brookside Redlands. Burial will be private. THELMA LEONA WEIK Yucaipa resident Thelma Leona Weik, 85, of Yucaipa died of cancer Tuesday at her home. Weik, a native of Nelsonville, lived in Yucaipa 20 years.

She was a member of Yucaipa Faith Lutheran Church. Survivors include her brother, Norman T. Gullikson of Desert Hot Springs. Services will be private. Burial will be at Leelanau Township Cemetery in Northport, Mich.

A native of Mount Erie, Schafer lived in San Bernardino 32 years. She was retired as a nurse's aide at San Bernardino Community Hospital. Survivors include her son, Irwin of Paradise; two daughters, Betty Dunlap of Friday Harbor, and Delores Bleile of Rialto; 19 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren. Services will be private. Born in Chicago, he was a resident of this area since 1969. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Alice. Arnold was a highly respected Assistant Superintendent (retired) with the Santa Fe Railway for 26 years. He is survived by daughters, Delores Haight of Highland and Shirley Haeger (nee Skow) of Forest Park, son Arnold Skow, Jr. of San Bernardino and father to Francis Mc Connell of Monrovia.

He was a very special "Grandpa" to 20 grandchildren and "Big Papa" to 18 great grandchildren. He left a lifetime of loving memories to his family. LOUISE MOTT Louise Mott, 95, a lifelong resident of Yucaipa, passed away December 10, 1991 at her home. She was born on September 14, 1896 in San Bernardino and was employed as a buyer for the Harris Co. for 36 years.

She is survived by her aunt, Margaret Barasa of San Bernardino; cousins, Virginia Martin of Colton; Mary Ann Swall and other cousins in San Bernardino; and nieces and nephews in the Sacramento area.
