Minnetonka Schools is proud to recognize four educators who have become National Board Certified teachers this school year. National Board Certification is a voluntary advanced certification that allows teachers to demonstrate excellence in teaching within their content areas. To earn this distinction, each teacher completed a rigorous application and testing process facilitated by the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards."I started this process in 2019 because several of my Advanced Learning colleagues had completed the certification, and I was excited to see how I could grow as an educator through the program," shared Amy O'Neill, Advanced Learning teacher at Excelsior Elementary. "I found that reflecting on my teaching practices and incorporating the National Board standards into my lessons plans has made me a more intentional and effective teacher." Congratulations to:⭐️ Joe Cossette, Minnetonka High School⭐️ Tessa Ikola, Minnetonka High School⭐️ Laura Murtha, Minnetonka Middle School West⭐️ Amy O'Neill, Excelsior ElementaryGreat work, all! 💙⚓
