Gary Street officiating. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Mobridge. She died Sept. 20, 1999, at Poplar Living Center. She was born June 17, 1899, in Grinnell, lowa, the daughter of Cullen and Mary Alice (Atkins) Rice.

She grew up and attended school in Selby, S.D., and graduated from Normal School (Teachers College) in Aberdeen, 9.D. After graduation, she taught in the county school at Selby. She married David Barclay on June 24, 1923, in Selby and they 'moved to Mobridge, where she resided for 65 years. She moved to Casper in 1987. She was a member of the Retired Railroad Women, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and the Women of the Moose Lodge.

Survivors include two sons, Jack Barclay of Casper and Richard Barclay of Elma, two brothers, Basil Rice of Torrington and Edis Rice of Grass Valley, one sister, Donna Whitehouse of Redding, eight grandchildren, two step grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren; six step -greatgrandchildren; eight great -greatgrandchildren; and one step greatgreat grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, two daughters, Joyce Lindell and Ferne Phillips; four brothers; two sisters; and one stepgrandson. in lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials to Poplar Living Center, 4305 S. After 36 years with True Drilling Company, he retired and moved to Texas. Survivors include his wife of Trinity; a son, Donnie Worthington of Gillette; stepdaughter, Ella Pierce of Moorcroft; twin sisters, Pat McLaughlin of Drumright, and Betty Lieghton of Pasadena, Texas; 23 nephews; 13 nieces; eight sisters-in-law; and five brothers-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, a stepdaughter, Katherine Pearce; his parents; and four brothers. V. Rose O'Rourke RAPID CITY, S.D. Mass of Christian Burial for V. Rose O'Rourke, 87, will be celebrated at 11 a.m.

She was born Sept. 29, 1911, at her parents' homestead south of Conata, S.D., to William L. and Julia (Bullock) Jacobs. Her father was killed in a riding accident when she was a baby. Her mother raised her until her death 12 years later.

She was then sent to Haskell Boarding School in Lawrence, where she remained until 1932. While there, she excelled in sports and graduated as an honor student. She was named homecoming queen and received a degree in nursing from Haskell Institute. She returned to South Dakota and married Lloyd O'Rourke in Sturgis on Jan. 19, 1933.

They had nine children, including triplets. They ranched along the White River, south of Conata, until 1942, when the Air Force took their land for use as a practice range. Forced to move, they again settled along the White River, south of Interior, until her husband's death in 1986. She was an excellent cook and fed all who stopped by. She canned all of her own garden vegetables, fruits and meat until electricity came into the area in the 1950s.

In her later years, she purchased and operated a cafe in Interior. Survivors are two sons, Lyle O'Rourke of Interior and Chuck O'Rourke of Pine Ridge, S.D.; three daughters, Midge Johnson of Interior, Rose Lester of Deadwood and Kay Reed of Casper; 21 grandchildren; 49 greatgrandchildren; and six great -greatgrandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, her husband, two sons, Mike and John; and two daughters, Donna and Phyllis. Marion A. Osborn WORLAND Graveside memorial services for Marion A.

16, 1923, in Billings, to John and Minna (Kurtzbein) Nelson. She grew up in Billings and graduated from Billings High School. She received her education and She married Leonard Englin in Billings on Nov. 24, 1963. They moved to Worland and operated Englin's Recreation.

He died in October 1969. She married George Osborn on April 8, 1970, in Worland and he died in September 1997. She continued to live in Worland and had lived at Community Care since August 1997. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Worland and enjoyed crafts, crocheting and playing the piano. Survivors include her daughter, Janice Lehman of Evanston; a sister-in-law of Billings; three grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Kenneth A. Huston NEWCASTLE, Funeral services for Newcastle resident Kenneth A. Huston, 96, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Worden Chapel with the Rev. Bill Haley officiating.

Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Worden Funeral Directors. He died Sept. 22, 1999, at Weston County Health Services in Newcastle. He was born Jan. 29, 1903, in Alliance, the son of Isaac and Mary E.

(Ballard) Huston. He was employed as an auto mechanic throughout Nebraska and later at Craig Chevrolet and Dow Motors in Newcastle. He enjoyed visiting with relatives and friends. He also drove the activities bus for the Newcastle School. He married Mildred McCollom on Jan.

30, 1927, at Chadron, and they celebrated their 72nd anniversary this past January. Survivors are his wife and several nieces and nephews, Lee (Bud) Huston and Betty (Huston) Higley. Lorrene M. Garris LANDER Funeral services for Lorrene M. Garris, 79, will be held at 10 a.m.

Monday at the Chapel of Mount Hope, Hudson's Funeral Home with the Rev. Lawrence Kelley of First Baptist Church of Lander officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. She died at Lander Valley Medical Center on Sept. 22, 1999, after a long battle with cancer.

She was May 16, 1920, in Finlayson, the daughter of Jack C. and Jane M. (Nelson) Booth. She was born while the family was visiting Minnesota, but lived her whole life in the Lander area. She attended the Booth School near Ray Lake and the Wind River School at Fort Washakie.

She was a 1938 graduate of Fremont County Vocational High School. She married Fred A. Garris on Sept. 5, 1945, at the United Methodist Church of Lander. She received her bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Wyoming in 1962.

Her first teaching position was at Sage Creek School, north of Fort Washakie, a one-room school where she taught all eight grades. She also taught at Wind River and Fort Washakie schools, three years at the South Side School and 17 years at North Side School of graduated as a nurse's aide from Lander. She retired in 1978. They lived in Midwest, where he worked in the oil fields until he went to work for the Railroad.

During World War I1, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps and served in Panama. After the war, he returned to work on the and worked on the line from Casper into Montana. He retired from the railroad and made his permanent home in Story, where he took up skiing and skied for many years. His wife preceded him in death in October 1979. He was a member of the Story Lions Club and delivered Meals on Wheels.

He enjoyed hiking in the mountains, cooking and physical fitness. He was preceded in death by his son, Gordon Bates; daughter, Dorothy Eckhardt; brother, Fred Rose; and sisters, Lessie Rose, Clare Rose and Emma Angle. Survivors include a granddaughter, Gwen Williams of Story; five -grandchildren; 12 great -grandchildren; and one great -great great -granddaughter. Memorials may benefit the Story Lions Club, P.O. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Wilber Dean Hill in 1967. She was an active person and was well-known for her paintings. which hung in the White House and Senate offices. She was past president of the Wind River Artist Guild in Lander and was active in the Wyoming Democratic Party. She worked at Western Steel and Pipe Shipyard as a pipefitter during World War Il.

She helped restore the Episcopal Church in Atlantic City. She was a dedicated homemaker for 56 years. Survivors include her husband. Jacob, of 56 years; sons, Bert F. Todd and his wife of Wilton, and Robert E.

After her mother died in the epidemic, her father moved the family to Basin to live with his sisters. Later, he married Anna Roc and they had another five sons and one daughter. They lived in many places the Big Horn Basin and she attended schools in Basin. Lovell and Manderson. She married Wayne H.

Stanley 011 March 10, 1936, in Basin. They lived in Otto, Basin and on the north fork of the Shoshone, as well as a few years in California. She was a full-time homemaker. wife and mother. Her hobbies included sewing.

After her husband died in August 1987, she continued to live 011 their home of 41 years just south of Basin until she moved into a senior apartment in Basin Later, she entered the Bonnie Bluejacket Nursing Home, where she lived until her death. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Basin and Elize Rebekah No. 26 in Basin. Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Phyllis Sims and Dianna K.
